The award winning ‘Orange Rocket’ Barberry is a truly tremendous plant from the Southern Living Plant Collection. With a reliable upright growth habit, the Orange Rocket grows in a column-like pattern that traditionally reaches around 4 feet tall and 1 ½ feet wide. During the spring, young foliage emerges as a vivid coral display that ushers in the new season. As Summer begins to take hold, the leaves will turn to a brilliant lime-green that gives new dimension to this already phenomenal plant. Towards the end of the summer, the red tones from early spring return in the form of bold ruby red leaves that reinvent the landscape. These deep crimson hues are a showstopper that are sure to turn some heads. Once established, this fast growing plant will prove itself to be quite hardy, and will ignite your landscape with incredible shades of red for years to come. Whether it’s used in borders, landscapes, or containers, you won’t go wrong with the ‘Orange Rocket’ Barberry.
