Pot size

The Red Diamond Loropetalum is another tremendous evergreen shrub from the Southern Living Plant Collection. With gorgeous plum purple foliage and an easily managed compact growth habit, the Red Diamond is almost indistinguishable from its nearly identical twin, the Purple Diamond. Where these siblings differ, however, is that while the Purple Diamond has elegant pink-purple blossoms, the Red Diamond has eye-catching fiery red ribbon flowers that ignite the landscape with rosy hues. From spring till summer, the candy red blooms rejoice at the return of warm weather. Meanwhile, the deep purple leaves hold their color all year long providing fantastic contrast in any landscape. Reaching a dense 6 feet tall and wide, this shrub will not engulf its surroundings like some other Loropetalums. Plant the Red Diamond in full sun to part shade and in acidic rich soil to keep it flourishing.
