Get to know the pots of PlantsbyMail right here! Let’s jump right into it.
The smallest individual pot that we currently sell, the 2.5 quart pot (sometimes called a ‘Trade Gallon’) stands 6.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches across the top. The Southern Living Plant Collection features numerous selections in this pot size, and they’re a great choice if you have a larger area to cover and want to maximize your budget. PlantsbyMail also features many tried and true unbranded plant selections in the 2.5 quart as well.
7 inches tall and 8 inches wide, you’ll find Encore Azaleas and Endless Summer Hydrangeas in 1 gallon pots. Like the 2.5 quart, this is a great size for covering a large area with a considerable number of plants. Additionally, we offer several unbranded hydrangeas in this pot size as well, such as the Merritt’s Supreme Pink and Glory Blue.
Measuring 9.5 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide, all of our 2-gallon plants are branded varieties. The Southern Living Plant Collection, Encore Azalea, First Editions, and Endless Summer all feature a 2 gallon option, and we love this versatile size. The larger pot means a larger plant with more extensive root systems, which means that it will establish itself faster in your landscape. Furthermore, this pot size is more cost-effective than larger options, while still providing a jump-start for the plant in your landscape. Icing on the cake, if you’ve got a lot of plants to plant, then you’ve got a lot of holes to dig and planting a dozen 2-gallon plants is not nearly as taxing as planting a dozen 3-gallon plants.
Commonly called a #3 pot or a ‘Trade 3-Gallon,’ the 2.4 gallon measures 9.25 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide. We offer unbranded selections in the 2.4 gallon pot. This pot size is a great way to get some popular varieties off on the right foot in your garden or landscape.
The largest pot size we offer, the 3 gallon pot is 9.5 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide. We offer 3-gallon plants from the Southern Living Plant Collection, Encore Azalea, First Editions, and Endless Summer in this pot size. Being that this is the largest pot, it features plants with the most extensive root systems and the most foliage, meaning that it will get situated in your landscape quicker than smaller sizes.
