Thornless Blackberries?!?! Yes it is true! Gardeners Rejoice!
Garden Breeders at the University of Arkansas have developed thornless primocane blackberries. Primocane blackberries will produce fruit on 1st year growth in the spring and the fall. Traditionally, thornless blackberries would only produce on floricanes(2nd year growth). These Primocane specimens yield exceptionally large blackberries with excellent flavor.
