About Autumn Sundance® Encore® Azalea

The Autumn Sundance from the Encore Azalea collection is a brilliant re-bloomer boasting deep fuchsia-pink blooms in spring, summer, and fall. This evergreen shrub has lush green new foliage in spring that matured to a deep dark green that bronzes to a deep purple in winter that adds interest to the winter landscape.  The Autumn Sundance has a neat and compact dwarf growth habit that is very easy to maintain with minimal pruning. Use this azalea in your landscape or garden as a specimen, accent, low hedge or foundation. This Azalea is also great for planting in large pots either in a mixed container or a standalone. Plant your Encore Azalea in slightly acidic well-drained garden soil in an area that receives full to part sun for best bloom performance and fertilize in spring with a slow release granular fertilizer to keep the blooms coming all season long!

Autumn Sundance Encore Azalea Spacing Recommendations

Space your Autumn Sundance Encore Azalea 3 feet apart for a seamless planting. Alternatively, plant them 4+ feet apart for gaps between plantings

Beautiful, healthy plant. I sent this to my mother for Mother’s Day. She was delighted to receive this wonderful gift. I have ordered azaleas from this company in the past and they arrived in perfect condition. A year later, they are thriving.

  3. Heidi Raudszus (verified owner)

The plants are looking good – its a bit cold here but we have had a lot of rain. Waiting for warmer days to spring to arrive and see them bloom.

  4. Bryanna Ward (verified owner)

I had my doubts about a company that ships plants via FedEx and unfortunately those doubts were confirmed. 2 of the 5 plants I ordered were badly damaged in shipping. I submitted a compliant and didn’t even get a response regarding the issue! Very poor customer service.

This is my 3rd order with Plants by Mail. Plants always arrive timely and healthy. However, this time I ordered 9 Azalea’s and one of them has been struggling and doesn’t look like it is going to live. I have contacted Plants by Mail but haven’t heard anything yet. I’m sure they will replace it but just hasn’t happened yet.
