The Cosmopolitan Miscanthus grass, also known as Japanese Silver grass, is a great selection to add unique texture and interest to any garden or landscape. Cosmopolitan has boldly variegated with wide green stripes running the length of the blade that is edged with creamy white. In fall this specimen will produce numerous showy plumes that can be left all winter to add interest to your winter landscape. In winter the foliage will dry out and turn tan tone which also provides a unique texture in winter. In early spring trim the dead foliage and plumes to the ground before new growth begins to appear, also this will be the ideal time to divide if desired.
Space Your Cosmopolitan Miscanthus Grass 3-4 feet apart for a seamless planting. Otherwise, plant them 5-6+ feet apart to leave space between shrubs.
