Perennials rarely need supplemental fertilizer, however, 3-4 inches of compost around the plant yearly provides nutrients to keep the plant happy and healthy.
For a solid mass plantings space your Heucherellas 6-10 inches apart while sticking to 14 inches or more for individual plants. The Foliage of most cultivars reach 8-12 inches in height and spread 1-2 feet in width.
