The Dear Dolores Hydrangea from the Southern Living Plant Collection is a tremendous and versatile plant that will provide beautiful mop-head blooms from spring into fall. As is typical with hydrangeas, these flowers emerge pink when planted in alkaline soils and blue whilst grown in acidic soils. Dear Dolores is fast-growing and traditionally will reach 5′ tall as well as wide. These long-lived Hydrangeas will return to impress for 20 years or so, exhibiting multitudes of eye-popping blooms every year that will delight and amaze. The Dear Dolores makes a phenomenally stunning addition to any landscape, whether as a shady border planting, an accent, or in a mass planting.
*The Dear Dolores Hydrangea is a deciduous/semi-evergreen plant and will go dormant during the winter months. When this plant is ordered during the Fall/Winter expect seasonal foliage decline(discoloration, spots, leaf drop) or the plant to arrive completely dormant.*
For a seamless planting, plant your Dear Dolores Hydrangea 2 feet apart. Otherwise, space them 6+ feet apart for gaps between plants.

I ordered two. They arrived quickly and packaged very well. Plants were still very moist. However when they were delivered by FedEx they placed the box upside down (printed in bold letters on the box states live plants this side up) most branches were broken on both plants. It’s been a month…. They are still struggling, but I’m not giving up on them.
