The Hardy Daisy Gardenia is an evergreen shrub a mounding growth habit, and dark green foliage with slight blue-hues. True to its name Hardy daisy is known as one of the furthermost cold Hardy Gardenias available being able to thrive in USDA Zone 7 – 10. Once established they require little watering and maintenance. Another highly desired attribute of the Hardy daisy is its beautiful very fragrant white blooms!
Plant your Jubilation Gardenias 1.5-2 feet apart from center to center for a seamless planting. Otherwise, plant them 4+ feet apart for space between each mature plant.
Becky Spence –
I am a plant newbie and had heard about how difficult gardenias were to grow. I chose this based upon reading that it was more easy to grow & tolerant than other types. This little guy survived his 1st winter outside in NC very well. In spring the blooms started coming and wont stop. he is potted and in my screen porch now so I can enjoy the fragrant blooms. I use a popular fertilizer and coffee grounds about every other month.
