The Japanese Boxwood is slow growing evergreen shrubs with a bushy habit. They are great for small topiary hedge foundation plants and formal plantings. Japanese Boxwoods noted for being more tolerant of harsh conditions. Boxwoods grow best in alkaline or slightly acidic soils and are deer resistant due to distasteful alkaloids in their leaves.
For a seamless planting, plant your Japanese Boxwood 2 feet apart. Otherwise, Space them 2+ feet for gaps between plants.
