More heat tolerant than the standard Pieris japonica, the Mountain Snow Pieris from the Southern Living Plant Collection earns its keep through striking foliage as well as a symphony of bell-shaped white blooms. New bronze-colored foliage matures to a dark emerald green; pendant panicles of petite buds appear in summer and last through winter before opening up in early spring with breath-taking pearly flowers. Plant the Mountain Snow where it will get partial shade and either morning or afternoon sun for best results.
For a seamless planting, plant your Mountain Snow Pieris 2 feet apart. For space between plantings, space them 3+ feet apart.
