The Osage Blackberry is a new thornless variety of Blackberry that has been added to the Southern Living Plant Collection. This blackberry was developed by the breeding program at the University of Arkansas. The Blackberry is self-fertile and produces plump berries that ripen in mid-early season and are known for their outstanding flavor and sweetness. The Osage grows best in USDA zones 6-8, is heat and humidity tolerant, and has an upright growth habit that will mature to 4-8’ H x 2-3’ W.
If this plant is ordered in winter-early spring it will be dormant on arrival!
