Parsoni Juniper is an low-maintenance attractive evergreen ground cover that has aromatic blue-green needle-like foliage that give a feathery appearance from a distance. The growth habit is slightly vertical and horizontal with the ability to reach a mature size of 2-3′ H x 4-10′ W depending on growing conditions. This is a very hardy plant that will keep its color in the cool of winter, it can handle heat and humidity, it is deer and insect resistant, and has an above average salt tolerance which makes it a great selection for seaside/costal plantings. Mature plants will produce berries which are a tasty snack for birds. Parsoni is commonly used in the landscape as a groundcover, in rock gardens, planted in front of shrubs or under trees, in mass on embankments, or along walkways.
For a seamless planting, plant your Parsoni Juniper 5-6 feet apart. Otherwise, space them 6-8+ feet for gaps between plants.
