The Premier Blueberry is a prolific fruit producing variety from the rabbit-eye family. This selection is naturally heat tolerant which makes it well suited for growing in the southeastern United States(USDA Zones: 7-9), but will not fair well colder climates.
Early in Spring Premier will be covered with white and pink bell-shaped blooms, then will yield large dark blue blueberries in late-spring to early summer. Planting with other varieties of Blueberries for cross-pollination will vastly increase and improve fruit production.
For best results plant in a location that receives full sun and in soil that is acidic and rich with organic matter. Annually, Use a slow release acidic fertilizer on your blueberry plants.
This plant will arrive dormant if ordered from Fall- Early Spring
Premier Blueberry Spacing Recommendations
Space the plants at least 5 feet apart in a row. This spacing will create a hedgerow or border as the plants mature. If you plan on planting several rows of blueberries, space the rows at least 10 to 12 feet apart.
