Southern Wood Ferns (Thelypteris kunthii) make great additions to shady areas in the landscape or container gardens. This Fern has gracefully arching semi-erect and bushy with pale-lime green foliage which can provide unique texture. Once established these ferns will require little maintenance, but will require watering in drier climates. Fertilize Boxwoods in spring with slow-release fertilizer for best color and foliage density throughout the year.
Space your Southern Wood Fern 4 feet apart in a perennial border. Otherwise, For Mass plantings, space them 3 feet apart.
