Description
Description
The Carolina Midnight Loropetalum is a large growing shrub reaching 10-15' H x 8-10' W. This Loropetalum has year-round dense very dark burgundy-purple rounded foliage that provides a great platform for the spring blooms to really pop. New foliage when it first begins to emerge will have a reddish-maroon color before darkening. This is a popular choice for planting a large foundation, medium sized screen, or hedge in the landscape, and can also be trained into a small tree or espalier. This shrub is generally not bothered by drought once established, insects, or deer.
