Sporting deep wine-hued leaves, the Purple Daydream Dwarf Loropetalum is a fantastic new addition to the Southern Living Plant Collection. This gorgeous shrub’s light and fluffy-seeming foliage stays a luscious purple all year long that never leaves your landscape looking bare. The Purple Daydream is a dwarf Loropetalum that maxes out at a compact 2-3′ high and 3-4′ wide, leaving maintenance as the least of your worries. Spring sees the Daydream in full bloom with string clusters of dark pink-stranded blossoms that cover the dense plum foliage. Plant the Purple Daydream Dwarf Loropetalum in well-drained acidic soil and fertilize in late spring to keep this bush happy and healthy.
For a seamless planting, space your Purple Daydream Dwarf Loropetalum 2 feet apart from plant center to plant center. For space between plantings, plant them 5+ feet apart.

I received my six Loropetalum just as I had been notified and immediately unpacked them. They were so carefully packed for shipment and arrived in excellent condition. Six beautiful plants of uniform size and perfect for the area they were planted. I would recommend your company to anyone who desires great customer service and quality products.

I received my 4 loropetalums yesterday, and I was very pleased for the fast delivery as well as the condition of the plants. They were larger than I had expected and in good condition. However, I ordered those that will have “ruby red blossoms.” Upon reading the plant identification tag it said that all of of them were going to have “pink” blossoms. I could have bought “pink” in my vicinity but definitely wanted “red.” Please tell me that these tags are wrong; I would have never bought “pink.” Except for the color, I would have given 5 stars. I watered as soon as I received them but really disappointed about the color if the tag is correct.

After the Plants by Mail phone rep courteously & pleasantly answered our many questions, we ordered 33 plants to add color to our landscaping. Each plant was wrapped in a heavy bag which kept it moist on its trip & in a sturdy cardboard box which protected it from damage. All were in perfect condition & seem to be thriving in their new home. Would definitely order from Plants by Mail again and recommend them to all

This is the second time I have ordered plants through Plants by Mail. I couldn’t be happy with the plants!

Very healthy and beautiful shrubs, only one of the three shrubs had a split branch on the top (I believe it was damaged during shipping). Plants by Mail is a good company, prompt service and good quality plants. I will order more after the stock is replenished, right now a lot of the plants are out of stock.

I purchased five 2-gallon shrubs. They arrived in perfect shape despite traveling all the way from Alabama to Seattle. The boxes were a little dinged up and had obviously been turned on their sides (if not upside down), but the plants inside were unscathed aside from a little loose growing medium. All of them are full and large – honest 2 gallons, unlike what I’ve received from other online suppliers. They are beautiful and I love them, I wish I could upload a photo to share how great they look.
