Description
Description
An attractive dark red groundcover rose with excellent resistance to disease. Excellent ability to rebloom and continues blooming well into the fall. This is a more vigorous variety that is winter hardy to zone 4 and heat tolerant. Fertilize in spring with slow-release fertilizer for best bloom performance.
Blooms tend to occur in clusters beginning in Spring and rebloom through Fall. Expect these flowers to emanate a mild rosy fragrance as well. They're quite popular with pollinators, as well as cut flower fans.
The foliage is semi-evergreen to deciduous, meaning that it will fall off in winter and flush back in spring. New growth emerges copper-red and matures to a lush dark-green. Overall, this plant has a notably low mounding/spreading growth habit, rich with glossy foliage.
Reaches a mature size of 2.5–3' H x 3–4' W, with only minor maintenance required each year.
Use this variety as a specimen, container plant, hedge, or mass planting.
