Description
Description
Prepare to get lost in the colorful folds of the 'Tapestry' Heucherella from the Southern Living Plant Collection! Dark-centered leaves are colored blue-green in spring and summer and change to green with dark centers in fall and winter. New leaves have a distinctly blue iridescence.
In spring, expect to see the 'Tapestry' Heucherella sending up free-flowering stems of warm pink flowers, the perfect contrast to its dark foliage. This hybrid grows great in the South as well as the Northwest and grows well in Part Shade to Shade.
Plant it for the looks, but love it for its natural disease and pest-resistant nature, as well as its heat tolerance. This perennial will be back year after year, more impressive than ever.
'Tapestry' Heucherella Care
This plant is hardy from USDA Zones 4-9.
Plant in Part Shade to Shade for best results. (We tend to recommend more on the part shade unless you are in cooler zones Ex: 4-6)
Water 3-4 times per week during the first growing season. In the second growing season, provide supplementary water in times of extreme heat and drought.
The 'Tapestry' Heucherella prefers rich garden soil with good drainage.
Perennials rarely need supplemental fertilizer, however, 3-4 inches of compost around the plant yearly provides nutrients to keep the plant happy and healthy.
