Maiden Grass is a reliable ornamental grass with attractive seasonal color. Silver-green foliage grows upright in the center of the plant and arcs gracefully outward at the ends. This selection is ideal for adding texture to your landscape. In fall, this Miscanthus Grass changes to hues of golden and bronze once cold weather rolls around. White flower plumes appear in Late Summer. Once dried, these blooms last for a considerable amount of time and make for great-cut flowers. This plant is hardy from USDA Zones 5-9 and needs Full Sun exposure for best results. This is a particularly water-wise plant once established. However, water 2-times to 3-times per week for the first growing season.
For a seamless planting, space your Maiden Miscanthus Grass 2-3 feet apart from plant center to plant center. For space between plantings, plant them 5.5-6 feet apart.
