About Grey Owl Juniper

Grey Owl Juniper is a prostrate hardy variety of Juniper that works as both a low hedge or tall groundcover that grows slowly. The foliage of Grey Owl is a soft silver-green and features a Christmas Tree scent on warm days.

At maturity, this juniper gets 2-3′ H by 4-6′ W. It is commonly used for foundation plantings, around trees and shrubs, embankment plantings, beds, rock gardens, or planted along and allowed to hang over retaining walls.

Grey Owl is drought tolerant once established and will require little maintenance. This hardy shrub is also insect and disease-resistant!

Junipers love the sun, this shrub will thrive in the full to part sun. Make sure it gets at least 4-6 hours of sunlight each day. Grey Owl is hardy in USDA Zones 4-9.

Water regularly after planting, and then little watering is needed after it’s established. Use an all-purpose, slow-release fertilizer each spring.
